Fairleigh Dickinson pulled off the second-ever 16-seed vs 1-seed upset in the NCAA Tournament last season. Head Coach Tobin Anderson left for Iona and Jack Castleberry got promoted from within. Merrimack won the NEC regular season and conference tournament last season but aren’t eligible for the NCAA Tournament yet. Jordan Minor, one of the conference’s best players last season, left in the offseason. Will Head Coach Joe Gallo work his magic once again to have Merrimack compete for another conference title. Considering it’s competition, Sacred Heart has tremendous continuity from a season ago. The Pioneers’ mix of experience and talent has them as one of the frontrunners to win the NEC this season.
