NBA First FG Props – November 10

In recent years, Fridays have become game night for the NBA. And with the first ever In-Season tournament in its second stage, NBA betting sites work over time to keep up with all the latest game and prop odds, including which team is predicted to score first. Here’s the lowdown on the latest odds for teams to score first and the players to do so on November 10th

76ers vs. Pistons

Tip Off – 7:00 pm EST
Little Caesars Arena – Detroit, Michigan
Broadcast – BSDE and NBCS

The 76ers have a favorable trend of scoring the first field goal in 80% of their games this season, which is a noteworthy statistic to consider when placing a First Basket bet. And in their first game without Harden, Embiid put up MVP numbers by scoring 48 points.

Winning the tip-off is a significant advantage for securing the first possession and, potentially, the first basket. The 76ers have been winning the tip 60% of the time, further supporting their chances of scoring first. Also, Joel Embiid’s track record of being the first to score for the 76ers, especially with the first field goal, makes him a strong candidate for a First Basket bet. He has a high chance of being the one to score the first basket for the team.

First FG Bet: Joel Embiid (+430)

Nets vs. Celtics

Tip Off – 7:30 pm EST
TD Garden – Boston, Massachusetts
Broadcast – ESPN, YES and NBCS

It’s hard to believe that barely two years ago, the Brooklyn Nets were major front runners and one of the top teams at sportsbooks to win the NBA Finals. But that was when they head a healthy Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. But since Irving’s controversial suspension, and nagging Durant injuries, both  men were traded to start the rebuild.

The Celtics on the other hand, come into this In-Season tournament game, firing on all cylinders at 5-1.  Despite making a flurry of off-season moves to make their second NBA Finals in three years, new acquisitions like Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingas, are already scoring consistently at a high level.

The Boston Celtics’ recent dominant performance, particularly their 155-104 blowout victory over the Indiana Pacers, showcases the team’s exceptional offensive prowess and to score consistently. The 51-point margin of victory, while impressive, ranks as the third-largest in Celtics history.

But the main scorer, and frequent target at online sportsbooks to score first, remains Jason Tatum who recently reached the 10,000 career points mark. Because of Tatum’s improved scoring on the court this year, he is highly popular for prop bets.

First FG Bet: Jayson Tatum (+650)

Mavericks vs. Clippers

Tip Off – 8:30 pm EST
American Airlines Center – Dallas, Texas
Broadcast – BSSW and BSSC

The Dallas Mavericks come into the pivotal Friday matchup with the Clippers, the first in the season, full of confidence. Luka Doncic Mavericks are 6-1, first place in the Southwest Division. Doncic, for the past seasons, has been one of the NBA’s most exciting and prolific scorers, often drawing comparisons to Larry Bird in his prime.

The Clippers, come into the In-Season matchup as the league’s most interesting 3-3 team, good enough for second place behind Steph Curry’s Warriors. Despite having All-Star scorers Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, things have yet to click for the Clippers. Perhaps that’s why they went for broke, trading a slew of draft picks for controversial, scoring machine, James Harden.

For the past three seasons, Harden has been a scoring monster, between 2017 and 2020, Harden has averaged over 30 points and has been the darling of major sportsbooks for prop bets. In his first game as a Clipper, Harden finished with 17 points.

First FG Bet: James Harden (+900)
