College Basketball Picks – November 29th
Tennessee at North Carolina (-2) (O/U 144)
Sticking to the ACC/SEC Challenge in Chapel Hill. #10 Tennessee travels to take on the #17 North Carolina Tar Heels in the early slate of games between the conferences. Tennessee has never won in this building. North Carolina has handled top 10 opponents at home in front of the crowd in nine of their last ten.
Tennessee tries to hold off from losing their third straight game. Santiago Vescovi is a highlight of every Tennessee game due to the extra dimension he brings to the offense. Vescovi has just been too streaky from deep to trust the Vols’ offense to complement their elite defense. I’m siding with the emergence of Harrison Ingram and the home team in a battle of bordering states (yes, really).
The Pick: North Carolina -2

Colorado at Colorado State (-3.5) (O/U 150)
This rivalry welcomed new attention during football season as the Buffaloes and Rams played a classic. Safe to say no, love lost. These two teams are vying for bragging rights in the state of Colorado. However, Deion isn’t walking through that door in Fort Collins. The Rams debuted this week in the Top 25, just in time for their biggest rival to come to town. This will be the first time that Colorado State hosts Colorado as a ranked team.
Colorado State has earned the ranking after pulling the rug from under Creighton on Thanksgiving. The Rams held Creighton to 48 total points on 28% shooting from the field. This Rams team will have to get up for another big game after their first win against a Top 10 opponent since 1984.
There seem to be a lot of firsts this week for the Rams, and we will continue the momentum. It would be wise to monitor the result of this game for the Colorado State team as they head to Las Vegas on Saturday if the Rams are able to pull off the win and cover as we suspect.
The Pick: Colorado State -3.5
