NBA Picks December 6, 2023
Charlotte Hornets vs. Chicago Bulls
Tipoff – 8:00 pm EST
Spread: Bulls -5
Total: 220
The Chicago Bulls will be without Zach Lavine in this game, and that may not be a bad thing for the Bulls. Over the last five games, the Bulls are 5-0 to the Over and have been playing well in the absence of Lavine. However, defensively, both of these teams are struggling. In fact, over the last five games, both the Hornets and the Bulls are bottom five in defensive rating.
Additionally, the Hornets have allowed 120+ points over the last two games. I believe this total is a bit lower than what I expected it to be. Lastly, I do expect the pace to increase in this game for both teams.
Best Bet: Hornets/Bulls Over 220 and Bulls TT Over 112.5
San Antonio Spurs vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
Tipoff – 7:30 pm EST
Spread: Timberwolves -11.5
Total: 230.5
The Minnesota Timberwolves have been dominating on their home floor this season. In fact, the Timberwolves are 9-1 SU and 7-2-1 ATS at home this season. The Timberwolves have played quality opponents at home with the likes of Nuggets, Celtics, Pelicans, and Thunder.
The Spurs come into this game on a 14-game losing streak and have been one of the worst defensive teams. In addition, the Spurs are 4th worst defensive rated in the NBA on the road this season. Furthermore, the Timberwolves come into this game with the best defensive rating on the season and are allowing only 100 points per game at home to the opposition. I expect the Timberwolves to dominate this game.
Best Bet: Timberwolves -11.5
YTD Record: 17-15 (53.1%)
