Bobby Witt Jr. Higher than 1.5 Total Bases
Bobby Witt Jr. has continued his hot hitting throughout the month of April. Witt is hitting .316 with 4 home runs and 10 RBIs, along with a .944 OPS. He has hit safely in his last four games, including a three-hit game on Tuesday. Another bonus you have with Witt is that he has blazing-fast speed, meaning any seeing-eye single for someone else has the potential for a double with him.
Witt has yet to face Toronto’s starting pitcher on Wednesday, Yariel Rodriguez. Rodriguez has good stuff, yet worked out of the bullpen for the Jays to start the season. I’m putting my money on one of the game’s best young stars. Let’s ride.
Reynaldo Lopez Higher than 5 Strikeouts
Reynaldo Lopez has been one of the biggest surprises in the early 2024 season. The converted reliever bounced around from Chicago to Los Angeles to Cleveland, making zero starts in 2023. Yet, in 2024, Lopez has been one of the most dominant starting pitchers.
In three starts, Lopez has surrendered just one earned run. In each of those starts, Lopez pitched 6.0 innings and struck out at least 5 batters. On Wednesday, he faces the Marlins. Although the Marlins struggle to score, they aren’t amongst the teams most vulnerable to the strikeout.
But at the end of the day, I see Lopez continuing to flourish in his new role.
Shohei Ohtani Higher than 10.5 Fantasy Points
The 700 million-dollar man is once again showing everyone why he was worth every penny the Dodgers paid. (Even if that’s not until 2084) I mean, just look at how unbelievably amazing Ohtani has been this season via BaseballSavant.
Shohei is hitting a league-best .364 with 6 homers, 14 RBIs, and a 1.1017 OPS. He has hit safely in his last eight games, and I don’t see any signs of him slowing down. Better late than never on the league’s best hitter!
