Day is a golfer I want to continue to pick on. It did not go well for us on Friday but the short game can only hold on for so long. The golf course will firm up day after day which will have Day scrambling even more. Since he is a few behind, he will have to fire at pins. That is not ideal for a golfer who is not in peak ball-striking shape, and Day fits that bill. Look for Jason Day to struggle in tomorrow’s round. Corey Conners Higher Than 12 Greens In Regulation
Only one player in this field is hitting the ball better than Xander Schauffele. That would be Corey Conners. He is first in this field in strokes gained off the tee and second in strokes gained approach. As the course firms up, the ball striking will continue to be rewarded, and Conners will work his way up. He will do a great job hitting fairways all day, which will give him plenty of chances to hit greens.
