Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – May 13
Evan Mobley – Higher than 15.5 Points
Mobley had a rough first series in the playoffs. He averaged just 12.1 points per game in the series with the Magic and was even worse on the road – where he averaged just 9.0 points. In this series, he’s completely turned his scoring around. He went for 19.0 points per game in the first two games on the road. Now, at home for game 4, I expect him to clear this mark without breaking a sweat.
Derrick White – Higher than 15.5 Points
White has been well below this projection in each of the last two games. That’s why the number has crept down as low as it is. Despite the last two games, he is still averaging 19.9 points per game in the postseason. Also, he’s still over this projection during this series with those two dud games in there. We’re looking for him to rebound here in a big way – which the Celtics could use to avoid the series going even.
Kyrie Irving – Lower than 4.5 1st Quarter Points
Kyrie Irving hasn’t really been shooting that much early in the game. So far in the series, he has just five total first quarter points, and that’s over three games. In game one, he didn’t take a shot from the field in the first quarter. Game two saw just one shot and just one point – which was on a technical free throw. His output ticked up a touch in game three, but just enough to get four points. Unless it continues on an upward trend, he isn’t going to even sniff this projection.
