2024 NFL Schedule Release: One Game to Bet Each Week

The NFL Draft is concluded, and NFL Free Agency is pretty much done. Future lines are already available for division and conference winners. We also know which teams will play against each other. The schedule will tell us when. Based on the information we currently have, here is the current strength of schedule for all 32 NFL Teams.

Week 1: Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs

Of course, this is the first game of the season—the most anticipated Thursday night of the year. NFL teams have been off to a slow start, with fewer starters playing in the preseason. Last year, we saw a lot of unders hitting Week 1.

The Kickoff game resulted in 41 points each of the last two seasons. The defending Super Bowl Champion has won two out of the last four.  Start the season off right with the Ravens at the Chiefs. Kansas City is favored by three, with the total set at 47.5 points.

Week 2: Chicago Bears at Houston Texans

The rookie of the year in 2023 faces the #1 pick in 2024 on Sunday Night Football?! This is the first real test for Caleb Williams and a chance for Stroud to keep the rookie in check. Both fan bases are hyped for this season, and I am hyped for this game.

Houston’s additions on defense will be too much for Caleb. Stroud will have his way with this Bears’ defense. I have Houston winning this one. It is one of my favorites from the NFL schedule release.

Week 3: Chicago Bears at Indianapolis Colts

The league is full of young quarterbacks, and this matchup will be a blast. Anthony Richardson was really fun when he played. Indianapolis was much improved with the new coaching staff, even with Gardner Minshew. Richardson also got some new weapons. Chicago had a fantastic offseason, and their offense could be pretty serious. This will be a really fun game with some of the best young talent in the league.

Week 4: Buffalo Bills at Baltimore Ravens

Buffalo has lost half of their defense over the last two seasons. They have also lost their two top target leaders from 2023. Baltimore had a strong offseason, adding Derrick Henry to create the scariest backfield imaginable. These teams last played in 2021 and 2022. Buffalo won both games 23-20 and 17-3. Look for Baltimore to break the streak and show everyone who the real contenders are.

Week 5: Buffalo Bills at Houston Texans

The Stefon Diggs revenge game is going to be a fun one.  Buffalo has lost a lot of pieces this offseason, while Houston has only gotten stronger. This could be a chance for Houston to make a statement and assert themselves in the AFC. Josh Allen will be plenty motivated for this one, expect him to be fired up. Whatever the rushing yards are, give me the over. I will be doing a rushing yards ladder bet on this one, no doubt.

Week 6: Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys

Last year, there was a controversial ending to this slugfest. It was a great game that ended with some pretty upset Detroit Lions. The Cowboys had a boring offseason, and the Lions have poured resources into that defense. We could see a hot seat for Mike McCarthy and Dak Prescott after this one. The Cowboys will do their best to prove they are still contenders. Detroit, looking to build off an amazing 2023 season, will prove they are still contenders.

Week 7: Kansas City Chiefs at San Francisco 49ers

We get a Super Bowl rematch in this one. Both teams will be circling this one on the calendar, especially San Francisco. The 49ers came just seconds away from beating the champs. It should be a fun game, with both teams bringing back almost all of their starters. Will Rashee Rice be available for this one? This will be a Sunday evening game at 4:25 p.m. ET. Tom Brady will be calling it, and you should be betting on it. The NFL Schedule release could not wait to leak this one.

Week 8: Chicago Bears at Washington Commanders

Caleb Williams vs. Jayden Daniels, sign me up. This game should be full of rookie quarterback play. Look for some sacks and turnovers, but also look for some fireworks. The #1 and the #2 pick will have a lot to prove. Look for a lot of rushing from both quarterbacks in this game. There are a lot of veteran pass-catchers in this one: D.J. Moore, Keenan Allen, Terry McLaurin, and Zach Ertz. We have some fun running backs with Austin Ekeler and D’Andre Swift.

Week 9: Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills

The AFC East is up for grabs, and these two teams will be in the fight. Both teams had to make some tough decisions and watched key pieces walk this offseason. There were a lot of changes on both sides of the ball for both teams. This game will have playoff implications and could help decide the AFC East champions.

Week 10: New York Giants at Carolina Panthers

The German fans got a pretty gross matchup—two bad offenses in an international game that might resemble a soccer game. The under crowd will have some fun with this one. Have some fun betting turnovers and how many times these quarterbacks get sacked. On a positive note, we do have some notable rookies that will be featured in this one. Malik Nabers, Jonathan Brooks, and other 2024 rookies should get a lot of playing time in this one.

Week 11: Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills

The Swifties vs. Bills mafia will be quite the site. If the Swifties start breaking tables, the broadcast might break the internet. Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes have been quite the rivalry. Last year, we saw a controversial offsides call take away a Travis Kelce lateral for the ages. This game was a lot of fun, a lot of fireworks, and we hope to see more of that. People are down on Buffalo, and they will have a lot to prove in this one.

Week 12: San Francisco 49ers at Green Bay Packers

Another revenge game as the Packers hope to pass the test against the defending NFC Champions. Green Bay took San Francisco to overtime in the Divisional Round last season. Don’t sleep on Green Bay in this one. San Francisco won this one 24-21, but Green Bay’s surprise season ended with a strong fight. They have added Josh Jacobs and some big pieces on defense to gear up for battle.

Week 13: Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions

Chicago rolls into Detroit for Caleb’s first Thanksgiving game. We know the halftime show will stink, but this should be an awesome game. Jared Goff just got paid, and the Chicago Bears just added a ton of firepower.

Could this game be for the division lead? Alright, maybe the Bears are not there yet. But these new Lions are going to meet these new Bears. Expect some fireworks and a battle here. This should be a really fun game for the Thanksgiving slate.

Week 14: Atlanta Falcons at Minnesota Vikings

The Kirk Cousins’ revenge game, kinda. NFL Schedule release, we can only hope this one is in prime time, right? At this point in this season we might be seeing J.J. McCarthy vs. Kirk Cousins. If not, that means Sam Darnold has been playing pretty well.

All of the talk has been about Michael Penix, but this Falcons team is pretty legit—some superstars on both sides of the ball with Bijan Robinson, Justin Jefferson, and Kyle Pitts. T.J. Hockenson should be back for this one as well. No one knows Kirk Cousins better than Kevin O’Connell. This will be a fun game.

Week 15: Philadelphia Eagles at Pittsburgh Steelers

This interstate rivalry game will be a fun one. Both teams fizzled out and had tough finishes to 2023. Pittsburgh transformed their quarterback room, sending Kenny Pickett to Philadelphia. If Russell Wilson is still the starter in Week 15, that is a good thing for Steelers fans.

If not, Justin Fields will be trying out to be their starter in 2025. Either way, this will be a fun one to get in on the action—some big names and big personalities at wide receiver on both sides of the ball. As well as some big-time running backs with Barkley and Najee.

Week 16: Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans

The Houston Texans were the most improved team in the NFL in 2023. They had a monster offseason and are already looking like contenders. Houston gets a chance at revenge this Christmas. Both teams had strong offseasons on both sides of the ball. Notable additions on offense were Derrick Henry for the Ravens and Stefon Diggs for Houston.

This will be a fun one for the whole family to get in on the action. The NFL schedule release had this one leaked early, two of the top AFC teams.

Week 17: Las Vegas Raiders at New Orleans Saints

The Derek Carr revenge game, but my first question is whether or not Carr is starting. He is the starter, but Spencer Rattler is there, and that could be a fun twist as well. Las Vegas was linked to Rattler but passed on him a few times.

Derek Carr was also passed on by Las Vegas. New Head Coach Antonio Pierce will look to use his inside knowledge about Derek Carr to his advantage. New quarterback Gardner Minshew is seen topless on Bourbon Street after Derek Carr throws an interception in the redzone to lose the game.

Week 18: Washington Commanders at Dallas Cowboys

Dan Quinn will travel back to Dallas to play against Mike McCarthy. We will see how well he knows this offense and Dak Prescott. Jayden Daniels will be on display on the big screen at AT&T Stadium. At this point, we should know a lot more about Jayden Daniels and this Washington offense.

Will Dallas still be relying on Zeke in Week 18, or will they have acquired another back at this point? Either way, putting the house on Dallas. They usually finish the regular season strong before blowing it in the playoffs.
