Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – May 23
Tyrese Haliburton – Higher than 19.5 Points
I’m comfortable now to stop fading Tyrese Haliburton and to start taking higher plays on him going forward. It starts with Game 2 against the Boston Celtics, where I’m taking him to score higher than 19.5 points.
Haliburton has been shooting the lights out from deep, with 12 three-pointers over his past two games. He’s scored 20 or more points in back-to-back games and five of his last seven. Let’s hope he keeps the hot hand on Thursday night.
Jayson Tatum – Higher than 2.0 Blocks + Steals
Jayson Tatum didn’t have the greatest performance in Game 1, despite the gaudy numbers he ended up filling up the box score with. I’m shying away from his points scored in Game 2, and instead, I’m going with a defensive statistic play.
Higher than 2.0 blocks plus steals is the move. Tatum has beat this total in three straight games, including registering three steals in Game 1. With the Indiana Pacers playing a chaotic, fast paced style, the opportunity for Tatum to keep swiping balls is high.
Jaylen Brown – Higher than 10.5 Rebounds + Assists
I played Jaylen Brown higher than 9.5 rebounds plus assists for Game 1 and hit it (seven boards, five assists), so let’s replay it again for Game 2, with the number now set at 10.5
Brown has beaten this total in two straight games and three of his last four. Just like in Tatum’s case, with Indiana playing fast and loose the chances to pile up the stats is there for Brown as well.
