NBA Picks May 27th
Boston Celtics vs. Indiana Pacers
Tipoff – 8:00 pm EST
Spread: Celtics -7.5
Total: 222.5
This series may go down as a Boston Celtics sweep on paper, but that won’t tell the full tale. The Indiana Pacers had two wins – in Game 1 and Game 3 – in their grasps before fumbling them away. Team morale can’t be too high currently, especially with star guard Tyrese Haliburton still nursing his injured hamstring (he’s questionable once again for Game 4).
I’m thinking Boston will close things out on Monday in Indianapolis – they’ve had enough subpar performances thus far this series and must have that out of their system by now, you’d hope. But will they cover the 7.5 points – that is the question. They’ve only managed to cover it once in this series, so I guess the answer is no (plus Kristaps Pozingis won’t be back for Game 4 as originally hoped). The total of 222.5, however, is ripe for the picking – every game, even last game minus Haliburton, has gone over this amount.
Best Bet: Celtics/Pacers Over 222.5 (-110)
