Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – May 26
Luka Doncic – Lower than 30.5 Points
Just one game ago I was touting the big-game abilities of Doncic and noting that he’s taking control of these games. It’s wild to get off that stance after what we saw at the end of game two, yet here I am.
While I don’t think Luka disappears in this one, he has been spreading out his stat sheet at home in the playoffs so far. On the road in the playoffs, he’s averaging 30.5 points per game. On the road, he’s gone for just 24.7 per game – along with a corresponding increase in rebounds and assists. If we add in the sore knee and ankle that’s being reported for Sunday’s action, I think he scores quite a bit less here.
Karl-Anthony Towns – Higher than 0.5 Steals
Towns has been pretty consistently getting a steal or two recently. He has three steals over the first two games of this series. It also seems like he’s trying to step up his defense in this series. That trend continued even earlier into the playoffs when he closed the Nuggets series with five steals in the last four games. His overall average is 1.0 per game over the last two series, so let’s allow that to ride.
Dereck Lively II – Higher than 7.5 Rebounds
We gave out Lively’s rebound projection as part of game one and game two. There seems to be no reason to stop now. He was projected for 6.5 and 7.0 in those two games, respectively. In those games, he casually went for 11 and 9. We’re only up another half of a rebound here. And, I would like him to keep up with his former pace. You can be especially confident because he’s met this in each of his last four. He’s also done so in five of his last six.
