Dynasty Trade Targets: Players YOU Should be Buying Now!
You can find our dynasty trade value chart, and you can find my updated dynasty rankings on sportsgamblingpodcast.com. Here are some more tips on rebuilding your dynasty teams. This is a fun time, and you can do a lot right now to improve your teams in either direction. The best advice is to be active and to not forget this is a dynasty. Buying one-year rental pieces can be very helpful, but overpaying will set you back in the end.
Dynasty Trade Targets
QB, Trevor Lawrence – Jacksonville Jaguars
Trade Examples: Lawrence for 2024 1st + 2025 1st ; Trevor Lawrence for 2024 1st + 2024 2nd + 2025 2nd + Josh Dobbs ; Trevor Lawrence for Baker Mayfield + 2024 2nd + 2024 2nd ; Lawrence + Freeman + D. Harris for Minshew + Dell + T. Hill
Trevor Lawrence has not been good this year. He has had some good weeks, but he is not a consistent starter or worth the draft capital you used. But we know that this is a talented kid in a good situation. Playing the San Francisco 49ers typically offers some buy-low opportunities. Lawrence has not killed you like he did this weekend all year. He has two bust games. The rest were between 17 and 22 points. Right now, he is a dynasty trade target.
QB, Justin Fields – Chicago Bears
Trade Examples: Fields + 2024 1st for Mark Andrews + 2024 3rd ; Fields + Tremble for Zach Wilson + Aaron Rodgers + 2024 1st ; Fields for 2024 1st + Jahan dotson ; Fields + Dalvin for Russell Wilson + Ekeler
Justin Fields has a lot of question marks around him, and that helps with the price. He was starting to heat up, and this offense was coming together before he got hurt. The offensive line and other pieces are starting to gel. They are 2-2 under Tyson Bageant. Fields could hop right back into a great situation and have a monster finish. The unknown for 2024 because of Chicago’s draft picks will drive the price down.
There is a world where Fields gets replaced. There is a scenario where he stays in Chicago and gets reunited with Marvin Harrison Jr. There is also a scenario where he gets traded. What about Atlanta? They are not picking in the top 10 this upcoming draft, and they need a quarterback. Buying Fields now, with all three options below in mind. Push the narrative that he could be Caleb Williams’ backup to keep the price reasonable.
Honorable Mentions: Baker Mayfield, Joshua Dobbs, and Gardner Minshew
RB, De’Von Achane – Miami Dolphins
Trade Examples: Achane + Heinicke for Howell + Mims (Superflex) ; Bijan for Achane + Aiyuk + 2024 1st ; Achane for 2024 1st + 2024 3rd ; Achane for 2024 1st + 2024 2nd ; Achane for Stefon Diggs
The practice window has opened, meaning the buy window is closing. Achane is electric and has week winning upside that you want on your team this playoffs. Jeff Wilson and Raheem Mostert are also older players. He could have a much larger role next season. He won’t be cheap, but the price will only get higher when they announce he is practicing fully or ready to go. You missed out on him on draft day; don’t do it again.
Veteran Running Backs
Trade Examples: Derrick Henry + Geno Smith for Deshaun Watson ; Derrick Henry for Jerry Jeudy + 2024 3rd ; James Conner for a 2024 2nd ; Aaron Jones for a 2024 2nd + 2025 3rd ; Joe Mixon for Tyjae Spears + 2024 2nd ; Alvin Kamamara for 2026 1st ; Gus Edwards for a 2024 3rd + 2025 3rd ; Kareem Hunt for a 2024 3rd
This is the time to buy veteran backs like Derrick Henry, James Conner, and Aaron Jones. Anyone who is not contending should be looking to offload pretty much every back minus three or four. If you are a contender, your picks are late. Trading a second-round pick to get a plug-and-play guy is worth it. In some cases, you may have to send an additional second or third, depending on the player. They do not want a Dalvin Cook situation where a player’s value plummets.
Just shipped out Derrick Henry on my struggling 3-7 team for a ‘26 1st.
May be a long wait but loving that value for a near 30 year old RB. pic.twitter.com/x5dpOTq6lF

RB, Tyjae Spears – Tennesee Titans
Trade Examples: Tyjae Spears for Jordan love ; Tyjae Spears for Cole Kmet ; Tyjae + 2024 3rd for Rachaad White ; Tyjae Spears for 2024 2nd + 2024 3rd ; Tyjae Spears for Gus Edwards + Kareem Hunt + 3rd
The previous ones were more win-now options, but Tyjae Spears is more of a projection. There are a lot of unknowns with Derrick Henry this offseason. Henry’s age and contract situation are big factors, as well as the direction of this team. If the team chooses not to reinvest in Henry, Spears has the inside track to a starting position. I would take these one-year rental players like Gus Edwards or Gardner Minshew and trade them to a contender for Spears.
Honorable Mentions: Kyren Williams, Gus Edwards, Khalil Herbert, Kareem Hunt, Alexander Mattison
WR, Josh Downs – Indianapolis Colts
Trade Examples: Josh Downs for 2024 2nd + 2024 2nd ; Josh Downs for 2025 1st ; Josh Downs + 1st for Tee Higgins
Josh Downs was hot, and it would have cost you a first to guy acquire him last month. In November, he has cooled off as the team has had a tough schedule. The schedule lightens up, and the team is on a bye right now. Downs could be had at an affordable cost. You should at least check in. The beauty of this move is that you get both short-term and long-term gains. Downs has solidified his role in this offense for the near future.
WR, D.J. Moore – Chicago Bears
Trade Examples: D.J. Moore for a 2024 3rd + 2025 1st ; D.J. Moore for Michael Wilson + 2024 1st, 2nd, 3rd ; D.J. Moore for 2024 2nd + 2025 1st ; D.J. Moore for A.J. Dillon + Gabriel Davis + 2024 2nd
Tyson Bageant has been a great story, but Justin Fields’ return will help D.J. Moore. Moore is a player that could help you this season. His schedule really opens up starting this week. Fields could return this week, and Moore could go on a tear. The price will skyrocket back up. Looking at net year, Moore is here to stay, and the team has a ton of draft capital. They could add a Caleb Williams and/or invest in the offensive line.

RB, Jordan Addison – Minnesota Vikings
Trade Examples: Jordan Addison for Josh Jacobs ; Jordan Addison for 2024 1st ; Jordan Addison for Cole Kmet ; Jordan Addison for T.J. Hockenson ; Jordan Addison + 2024 2nd for Jared Goff + 2024 3rd (Superflex)
Jordan Addison has been a great option this year, and that was even with Justin Jefferson. Now we have a quarterback change, and Addison has cooled off a bit. Jefferson is coming back, and these two things can open up a buy window. This is a talented player, and the situation is still great. See if you can buy the dip on this one. It will be a great move long term.
Honorable Mentions: Keenan Allen, Tyler Lockett, Michael Pittman, Christian Kirk, and Cooper Kupp
TE, Dallas Goedert – Philadelphia Eagles
Trade Examples: Dallas Goedert for Cole Kmet ; Dallas Goedert for 2024 2nd + 2025 2nd ; Dallas Goedert for Taysom Hill + 2024 2nd + 2025 3rd ; Dallas Goedert for Trey McBride + 2024 3rd
Dallas Goedert has regressed this season. He is the tight end number 12 on the season. He also had only had two games inside the top 13. Right now, he is hurt, on a bye week, and has not been good this year. Why buy him? We have seen a long history of him being a great option. He is still in the trust circle, and he is on a great offense. His fantasy football schedule includes Seattle, the New York Giants, and Arizona.
TE, Jake Ferguson – Dallas Cowboys
Trade Examples: Jake Ferguson for James Conner ; Jake Ferguson for 2024 2nd + 2025 2nd ; Jake Ferguson + 2024 3rd for 2024 1st
Jake Ferguson has been one of the best values this season. There is a good chance that the team he is on was not expecting to rely on him. They could be looking to cash out or upgrade to a different position. Players like Ferguson, Schultz, and Taysom Hill have become top 10 tight ends. All should be trade targets. Ferguson is the youngest of the group, and we know his situation next year. I like his outlook for next year as well. I’m okay with paying a little more
Honorable Mentions: Taysom Hill, Logan Thomas, Dalton Schultz, and Jonnu Smith
