It’s Sunday again, and the NFL lineup doesn’t scare me one bit! There might only be a five-game slate in the NHL tonight, but the money never sleeps. I guess this is much easier to say after Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night bangers all in a row. For those who aren’t paying any attention, we have now gone nine for our last nine here on The Quick Pick. The season’s successful pick rate has gone to the moon and now sits at 62%! Don’t waste any time cooling off. Let’s stay hot and really make it a Sunday Funday! Here are my three best NHL Underdog Fantasy Picks for December 3.
The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for December 3
John-Jason Peterka Higher Than 0.5 Points
The pathetic Buffalo Sabres have now given up six goals in each of their last two games. To say that I am ready to carry my pitchfork down to their arena tonight would be an understatement. Ok. Now that my rage has subsided let’s focus on one of the brighter spots, John-Jason Peterka. He has three points in his last four games and often finds the box score at home against tough competition. That does not imply the Nashville Predators are normally tough competition.
Rather, it’s an indictment of how, no matter who the Sabres play, it will always be tough competition. So pour a glass of your favorite bourbon and knock it back. Let’s take John-Jason Peterka to go Higher Than 0.5 points as our first NHL Underdog entry on Sunday night.
Roman Josi Higher Than 0.5 Points
With a lighter slate on Sunday, we’ll stay inside the Sabres vs. Predators matchup with our second NHL Underdog pick. Roman Josi is the Predators’ journeyman blue-liner and has put together a solid 17-point 2023 campaign. Coming into Sunday night’s game against Buffalo, Josi has tallied five points in his last four games.
And over his last two seasons, the defenseman has tallied two points in his three games against Buffalo. Grab your shield and your weapon because we’re coming in as Romans with our second NHL Underdog pick on Sunday. Let’s take a stab at Roman Josi to go Higher Than 0.5 Points in Buffalo.
Anze Kopitar Higher Than 0.5 Assists (1.25X Odds)
The nightcap in the NHL on Sunday night features the Avalanche and Kings in a heavyweight Western Conference battle. The LA Kings veteran centerman comes into the game with 10 goals and nine assists. And while his recent form doesn’t exactly look sexy, his historical performances against Colorado are en fuego. In the 2022-23 season, Kopitar logged an absolutely insane six assists in three games against the Avs.
The Kings also come into Sunday having won five of their last six, and Kopitar’s leadership definitely plays a factor. So, let’s roll some dice on a hunch with our third NHL Underdog pick. Go ahead and press Higher Than 0.5 Assists on Anze Kopitar at 1.25X odds!
